We believe at-risk children deserve a carefree childhood and the best education, and their parents should have the training and the self-esteem to provide a healthy, happy home for those children. Safe streets and prosperous businesses should be the norm, not the exception. The UACDC works tirelessly in our efforts to make this a reality and believe we can come together to change a community for the better.

Because ordinary citizens, civic leaders, government officials and key community stakeholders believed that positive change begins right here at home, a new way of transforming a neighborhood into a safe and sustainable community was born. Together, we set the standard and created a model program that other challenged communities want to follow.
